Having transformed my tatty old trunk, I realised that I didn't need a tablecloth (or more precisely the fabric I used as a tablecloth) to cover it up anymore. I had found this handprinted Indian (if I remember correctly) cotton fabric on a market and had immediately fallen in love with it. So, as I didn't want to just store it away now with my other linens, something else had to happen. Then I had a sudden idea, I would give it a completely new role and use it as a wall hanging. This is the result - or most of it as it goes up a lot further - and I really love it. It now hangs above the chest of drawers I inherited from my grandparents and provides a lovely pattern on my otherwise plain, white walls.
