Happy Bank Holiday (if you're in the UK) Monday! The weather has been glorious over the past few days and an extra day away from "the office" (i.e. the day job) is always a welcome treat. I got lots of work done, managed to grab a drink with friends, have a lie in, go for a walk in the park, and today I'm looking forward to meeting with another lovely friend to visit a Hockney exhibition. These are the kind of times that make me truly happy. When things seem to just flow in an easy way, it's sunny but not too hot yet, inspiration seems to come to me in abundance and I have a few days of freedom to work on the things I love. There are of course many more times when I'm full of self-doubt about what I'm doing and where I'm going with it, but being able to leave all that behind for a little while and concentrate on being creative feels like a break in itself. So on Friday I worked on a post that involved flowers, fruit and champagne. I had my music turned up loud, the sun was out and I decided to take some extra shots of the prep to show you here. I hope you like them as much as I liked taking them.
