Weekend details...

Good morning lovelies, I hope you've all had a great weekend. Somehow they always seem to fly by and I never seem to get quite as much done as I want. I've just been pretty busy catching up with some work this weekend (I know how boring that sounds) but also had the time for a little stroll round the neighbourhood and to simply smile at what's right in front of me. So, here are some of the things that made me happy (it goes without saying that the people around me make me happy too):

Eucalyptus. The colour is just perfect! A slightly greyish green and very matt leaves which go very nicely against the white wall.

Olive and sweet almond cream from Le Petit Marseillais - it's like heaven in a tin.

Cucumber and apple salad - one of my favourites when it's warm outside. Ok, it hasn't been that warm, but I'm starting to worry that if I don't eat my favourite summer food now, it'll be October before I know it... If you want to find out how this one is made, click here for the recipe.

Some black and white paper tape which I've used on a simple cardboard box on my desk - a mini craft project if you will.

A single, fading cornflower. The colour and intricacy of the petals - a simple flower which is so beautiful.

Homemade bread. The smell of freshly baked bread filling a home would make anybody happy, non?
