Storyteller...

You might recall that a few weeks back I went to Selina Lake's Vintage Fair in Kingston as I wrote quite a large post about it - if you've missed it, you can read it here. One person I met there (amongst many others) was Ali Miller. Well, to be honest, I "met" her teapots and cups before we started to chat and was immediately enchanted by her creations on show. The intricacy and colours of her designs are just beautiful and the ideas behind them fascinating.

Ali told me that each piece tells a story which comes from memories of her childhood in North London and important life events. The pieces are like art works from a weird and wonderful fantasy world where fairytales and personal experiences meet and create a whole new reality. If you'd like to find out more, click here to get to her website. I'm hoping to buy some of her pieces at some point, but will for now have to make do with the idea of story time at tea time...
