Savarin...

Good morning to you all! I can't believe it's Monday already - where has the weekend gone? I've been so busy (and have pictures to share) that I could actually do with another day just to rest and catch up with blogs etc... Ah well, not much luck there I guess. Instead, as it's the beginning of another week, how about something pretty and tasty to cheer everyone up?

This lovely looking cake is a Savarin, a cake soaked in rum syrup which I have topped with cream and berries. Perfect for summer parties and afternoon tea with friends, it's easy to make and will stand out beautifully on any table. The way it looks, the different flavours, the red berries topping it - this for me is "baking love". If you want to give this one a go, then click here where I've posted the recipe.
