Saturday Market...

As far as weekends go, this was certainly not the most exciting one. It's funny really, whenever I read about other people's weekends, I wonder if I'm the only person in the world with domestic chores! They all seem to be filled with visits to interesting shops and galleries, lunches with friends, and generally a whole host of fun activities.

As I like being honest with my readers, here's what I've been up to: I spent the best part of my weekend painting railings outside our home. Yes, painstakingly applying white paint to all the turned and twisted bits of rusty railing and trying not to lose the will to live...

I did, however, take a little time out on Saturday to venture to the small market nearest to us. Going to small, familiar places when I don't have the time to venture further afield is a bit like a comfort blanket and at the same time fulfils my need to get out of the house at least for a little while. I had a little wander, took some pics of the fabulous, handmade aprons and collage art by Milla & Arti, tried some Brazilian chocolate and visited the pretties garage in the area which is filled with vintage china, furniture and accessories. It all nearly made up for the hours of railing-painting...
