Good morning! I'm writing this sitting in Munich where I'm having talks about an exciting collaboration and enjoying the beer and Bavarian food. I arrived back home from Valencia on Tuesday close to midnight, repacked my bags and headed out to the airport for my flight to Munich just under 9 hours later, so haven't had any time to look at my photos from Spain yet, let alone post them here. They will have to wait just a little while. In the meantime though, I wanted to share this with you.
These are some of the photos I styled and took for the National Portrait Gallery in London. The items are part of a collection of beautiful, fun and snappy new photography inspired products that have been created especially for the exhibition of the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize and which will be available from the shop and online store.
The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2014 is the leading international photographic portrait competition, which celebrates and promotes the very best in contemporary portrait photography. The exhibition will be open in the gallery from 13 November 2014 - 22 February 2015 and the National Portrait Gallery Shop will have this set of products (and more that aren't sale throughout, along with the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2014 Catalogue.
The Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize 2014 is a unique opportunity to see sixty new portraits by some of the most exciting contemporary photographers from around the world.
The selected images, many of which will be on display for the first time, explore both traditional and original approaches to the photographic portrait through intimate images of friends and family alongside revealing portraits of famous faces.
This year the competition attracted over 4,000 submissions in the form of editorial, advertising and fine art prints and the selected works in the exhibition include the four prize winners as well as the winner of the John Kobal New Work Award.
Right, I'm off to get ready for another meeting and then some exploring of Munich. By the way, if you are interested in visiting the big Taste of Winter London foodie show, I have two tickets to giveaway here. All you need to do is leave a comment and a winner will be picked randomly.
