So, how far are you with your Christmas preparations? If you've bought all your presents, I'm sure you're already feeling quite relieved (I know I do), but there is of course the small matter of wrapping them all up.
I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this part. On one hand, I love to "create" beautiful looking parcels and gifts and they generally follow a theme. On the other hand, after cutting yet another length of paper, wrestling with meters of sticky tape and trying to get my hands on more ribbon, because I've run out mid-job, I'm quite often ready to just put everything into carrier bags and hand it over unceremoniously. That never happens though and I plough on until every last little gift is done as I believe that the effort put into the wrapping says a lot about how much we value the person we give it to (Disclaimer: it's slightly different when sending parcels, some wrappings simply wouldn't work).
The theme I chose for my gifts this year is mainly based on lots of black satin ribbon (last image, sadly quickly snapped with my iPhone, hence the quality), but I have, throughout the years, wrapped the gifts in different ways that would match the Christmas tree and mood. So, I've put together some ideas based on different themes, colours and regions. If you'd like to find out more, hop over here and all will be revealed - just like unwrapping a gift.
