Honey, honey...

I've been feeling a little rough since yesterday. You know, the sort where your throat and head are hurting, you're feeling tired, your body temperature is slowly rising and you're thinking that this is all wrong because the sun is out and surely this is the way I should feel when it's cold and grey outside. I need a bit of comfort which doesn't seem to go with wide open windows and a light breeze.

Honey is my go-to remedy (ok, and paracetamol) on days like that. The sweetness is comforting and the healing properties are helpful. So I pour it into tea or freshly squeezed hot lemon, I use a little on my dry and sore lips and have some on toast if I feel hungry. By the time I feel better I might even think of eating one of these again...
