Colour palette...

Another sunny day, a bank holiday weekend to look forward to, and the days are finally getting this little bit warmer - it feels more like spring every day. Time to have a little more fun with our outfits and optimistically stash away the winter woolies, heavy fabrics and dark colours. If you know me though, you'll know that I don't suddenly change from grey/black/navy to rainbow coloured. Instead I use a softer and more muted colour palette which includes washed out and faded greens, taupes and off-whites.

This got me thinking. When I created my little interiors moodboard based on a cherry tree branch (see it here) I suddenly thought I could do the same for an outfit - or at least parts of it. I knew exactly which pieces would match the colours and quickly pulled them together. So, what you see here is essentially a "Clothing Moodboard" based on the colours and textures (wood, soft and delicate fabrics) of a cherry tree branch. What are your thoughts? Have I gone completely mad or is it a good thing to take inspiration so literally?
