As there are some things you are never too old for, every year my son has his Advent calendar - it'll probably continue until he leaves home and after that I'll just turn up on his doorstep, advent calendar in hand. For now though he still enjoys opening a door or unwrapping a little gift every day in December. Also every year, I try to come up with a different idea of how to package those 24 little treats. Last year I used a a big branch and hung little parcels from it (see it here), so this year I thought I'd do something completely different.
I wrapped each of the 24 gifts in tissue paper (the kind that is used by nice shops to wrap silky goodies in), attached a luggage tag with each number on and put them all in one big basket. Admittedly, it looks its best at the beginning of the month, but then, so do all advent calendars, right? So, what does yours look like this year?
